Details

Cricut® Transfer Tape was specifically designed to make transferring vinyl designs to project surfaces a cinch. Now new and improved, our tape holds better during transfer and peels away cleanly once your design is in place. The clear transfer material lets you see when placing perfectly spaced and arranged vinyl. The light printed grid helps you align your project precisely. Includes one sheet of 12 in. x 48 in. Transfer Tape.

    Step-By-Step Instructions
  1. Prep the vinyl cuts by removing the negative pieces from the images using the Weeder tool found in the Cricut Tool Kit. This process is known as weeding.
  2. Cut a piece of Transfer Tape the size of your design.
  3. Remove the liner from the transfer tape. Take the transfer tape in both hands with the adhesive side facing down.
  4. Gently place the transfer tape over the images. Start in the center and move outward. A craft stick or the Scraper found in the Cricut Tool Kit can be used to burnish (rub or polish) the tape onto the vinyl.
  5. Peel the vinyl away from the liner at a 45-degree angle. If the vinyl sticks to the liner, simply burnish the transfer tape onto the vinyl again. Peel the vinyl away from the liner.

    Application
  1. Carefully place the transfer tape with vinyl images on a clean and dry surface, making sure the images are straight using the grid.
  2. Press the vinyl onto the surface, starting in the center and moving outward. A craft stick or Scraper can be used to burnish the vinyl onto the surface.
  3. Peel the transfer tape away from the vinyl at a 45-degree angle. If the vinyl sticks to the transfer tape, simply burnish the vinyl onto the surface again. Peel the transfer tape away from the vinyl.

Worst transfer tape!
Worst transfer tape ever! Bring back the other stuff because the new one is absolutely horrible! I have tried 2 different types of vinyl tonight for my project and my letters don't stick to this transfer tape at all. I wasted so much of my vinyl trying to get it to sick and it's been nothing but a pain

Don't like it
Hate it, love the older stuff better it was more rubbery feel to it, this is very thin and plastic feel. Doesn't pick up really well. Want the older stuff back.

Love that I can reuse on more than one project/vinyl stencil
Awesome! Now I can reuse one piece to transfer different vinyl stencils. Before I could maybe use the tape twice but I managed to transfer four with the new version and it was still tacky. No more wasting too much money. Plus, it is clear so easier for placement and it doesn't roll up.

Amazing transfer tape!
I tried a transfer tape before this and it was terrible! I love this transfer tape! It has changed my crafting world! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I don't like the grid. I wish they had an option to have it without. Other than that it is great!

new transfer tape has too much adhesive for vinyl decals/stencils
I used the transfer PAPER sample pack that I purchased along with my new Explore Air 2, and it worked terrific. Upon running out, I picked up the new transfer TAPE and have had nothing but problems with it. Every attempt to adhere my vinyl design/stencil has resulted in the transfer tape pulling/ripping apart and becoming totally unusable. as another reviewer posted, it's much too adhesive for me to use. is there no where I can purchase the transfer paper?

Too tacky
I like that you can see through it! I find this new tape too tacky for some projects though. Transferring is harder than with the transfer paper. I searched local craft stores for the last supply of paper but have found that a competitor still uses paper similar to the old Cricut paper. Perhaps keep transfer paper and tape in stock?
